The Amazing Spider-Man x US Open (2026)

For the 2026 US Open, I wrote an original Spider-Man comic built around the tournament's Celebrating Our New York Story theme. Spider-Man chases Scorpion across all five boroughs before the fight lands in Queens at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

More than 40,000 copies were given away during Fan Week, along with five borough-specific variant covers. It was a New York story, a tennis story and a superhero chase comic, all in one very small package.

It was a widlly succesful project, with massive earned media, much of it focusing on the long lines and frenzied attempts of fans to get ahold of the comic. Tennis superstar Coco Gauff also wrote on social media about getting the comic, creating further earned media.
