I worked closely with IDW and Hasbro to rebuild G.I. Joe as a resistance story about ordinary people fighting a world dominated by Cobra. The series introduced the franchise’s first canonically queer characters and earned a 2020 award from Suicide Awareness Voices of Education for an issue about Scarlett's long journey of reluctant treatment for her PTSD. The issue involved massive research, including close consultation with combat veterans, therapists and a psychologist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
